The Toad Must Go On

PaulsHealthBlog.com
The rain and dreary weather continued Sunday, yet a determined crowd showed up for the last day of the Toad Suck Daze festival.

Organizers extended the festival hours Sunday to allow more time for people to enjoy more food and fun.

The regular schedule of events continued, including championship toad racing at the Toad Dome, craft and concessions booths and carnival rides.

At 2 p.m., the scholarship announcement took place on the main stage. This year, the Toad Suck Daze Committee of the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce awarded $51,000 in college scholarships from funds raised from the Toad Suck Daze festival.

Also Sunday afternoon, the Grammy Award winning Christian rock band Jars of Clay took the Main Stage to perform, as did Loose Marbles and a few local Christian performance groups.

Though the stormy weather did put quite a damper on Toad Suck Daze, there is always next year!

Who won the Ford F150? Just asking. Glad everyone had a great time in spite of the weather.

Have a terrific day. :)
